16/03/16 - 500KM Service
Well Today I had the pleasure of getting my 5000km service done for my LDV G-10 Van I have had for 2 months now.
I did google to see if there were any information online about the costs etc, but could not find anything, so decided to write a Blog about it myself for anyone looking. Hope this will help.
Ok, so 5000km in 2 months
First Service, Booked in for 12pm NSW time, Arrived at Victory Ford/LDV at 12 pm NSW time.
Booked Van in and Asked how much? Told $340
Asked how long as I do not live down there? Told 2 - 1/2 hrs.
Went for a walk, talked to the guy that sold the van to me, checked out about a roof rack, had lunch :)
Then arrived back at Victory Ford/LDV about 13.30pm - Van still Parked and not serviced as yet.
As I was told 2 - 1/2 Hrs thought I would wait, wouldn't be long?
14.30pm I went to see, Van still in same spot?
15.00pm went for another look. Van still in same spot, but some one in it :), moved into garage!! Yes
16.00 pm, went out to see if moved/finished?
Van gone!
Van comes flying in through the back driveway :/ then zoomed into garage!
So i go into the service area, on the way notice Van still Dirty, actually back window Dirtier than when it went in, Oh windscreen wiper had been put on, and the dirt had smeared over the back window/sign.
Any way, Service cost $290, at least better than $340?
So this was to - Change the Oil and Oil Filter, Replaced differential Oil?
Check & top up all fluid levels?
Safety Inspection - Oh and ROAD TEST :)
Oil- Castrol 15w/40 $45.75
Oil Filter - $40.40
Washer Solution - $3.50? - Water?
Copper Washer $7.77 (For the sump plug)
Time - $156.20 - And they say Plumbers are expensive?
I've attached some Photo's for evidence.
Also Asked about Speedo not showing correct Speed - DOing 110km/hr, GPS shows 100km/hr
And Fuel Economy on Display is out about 1L/100km
Was told that 10km difference is ok variance for Australia?
At least I might not get done for speeding?
