Back to Von Bibra for this service, as I mentioned it is closer and easier for me.

27500Km for a work vehicle seems low Km to me but the thing i found funny was my Service report States

"Complete 27500KM/36MTHS Service as per Schedule"

My poor Van is 36 Months old in Van Years just after 12 Months :(

Costing me another $338.65 Due to the missing out on getting Drive Belt and Fuel Filter Changed this time as they did not have it in Stock?

The Things I did point out to them were

1 - Door handles are Fading
2 - Rust Spots in the Paint Work Every Where
3 - Stone Chips in Bonnet Every Where
4 - Hard to get into third gear first thing in the morning, till warmed up.

Answer

1 - Photos Take for submission of warranty
2 - Photos taken for submission of warranty & i have a leak from where i put roof racks on
3 - Normal (To me it is cheap paint work!)
4 - Replaced gear box oil and roadtested, still knotchy recommended vehicle to be rebooked for further diagnosis during week. (This is my Income. My work vehicle. If i take it in on a week day i loose money! This is why i bought a "new vehicle")

Costs Broke down for this service were

Service - $170.46
Oil Filter Suit 5mt 4G69 - $25.72
Sump plug Washer 4G69 - $2.98
Screen Wash Sachet x 100 - $0.98
Refills - Wiper Blade, Twin-Metal Snap-Off x 3 - $40.92 (This was a funny one for me as I took Off the rear Whiper as it was marking my signage :))
Valvoline Problend 10W 30 - $41.00
HP Gear oil 80/90 - $10.80
Shop Supplies - $7.50
Environmental Disposal - $7.50

And GST - $30.79

HI ALL

MY VAN WENT IN FOR IT'S 10,000 KM SERVICE YESTERDAY

Decided after my Experience with Victory Ford at Tweed Heads that I would try Von Bibra for this service, and it was closer for me!

Ok Von Bibra

Very impressed after Victory Ford experience, Von Bibra supply a complimentary Wash and Vacuum

I did think that this was done with every service from my past experience with new vehicles!

Also going over my Invoices, amazing how Prices for things can be so different!
Small example was things like
Sump Plug Washer
Victory Ford - $7.77
Von Bibra - $1.51

Windscreen Washer Solution
Victory Ford - $3.50
Von Bibra - $0.95

Oil Filter
Victory Ford - $40.40
Von Bibra - $18.93

Is it just me or does this seem strange? I mean I have serviced my Holden Wagon over the last 2 years i have had it, so I have a fair Idea of what things cost! Victory Ford items did seem dear to me, so glad i chose to compare.
Adn Von Bibra service was 200% better!

So moral of my Findings is if you have or are looking to get a LDV vehicle I would be going straight to Von Bibra!!! Learn from my mistake!

Fuel & Weight

OK an update on how my LDV G10 Van is going, as I keep a good watch on Fuel :)

I happen to go to the scrap metal guys the other day, so took advantage of checking out my Gross Weight i carry with the Van.

Weight Bridge read 2420kg

Details of LDV manual Van
GVM = 3000kg
Tare Weight = 1907kg

So I am Carrying about - 513kg on average Daily
Advertised Pay Load = 1907kg

Fuel Recordings - Taken on Fills - U/L+E

25/01/16 - 575KM - 69LTRS = 12L / 100KM
01/02/16 - 338KM - 49.52LTRS = 14.65L / 100KM
08/02/16 - 642KM - 74.99LTRS = 11.68L / 100KM
13/02/16 - 643KM - 78LTRS = 12.13L / 100KM
19/02/16 - 647KM - 76.02LTRS = 11.75L / 100KM
25/02/16 - 608KM - 65.36LTRS = 10.75L / 100KM
02/03/16 - 498KM - 63.45LTRS = 12.74L / 100KM
09/03/16 - 615KM - 72.02LTRS = 11.71L / 100KM
16/06/16 - 598KM - 72LTRS = 12.04L / 100KM
22/03/16 - 514KM - 61.99LTRS = 12.06L / 100KM
25/03/16 - 584KM - 64LTRS = 10.96L / 100KM
04/04/16 - 641KM - 72.5LTRS = 11.31L / 100KM

TOTAL AVERAGE FUEL ECONOMY TO DATE = 11.98L / 100KM (OVER 12 FILLS)

Problem is The Dash Board Reading does not show this correctly, I advised the car dealer of this when I went into my First Service!

Still running in obviously?
And close to what LDV classes as 11.7L / 100KM is the Average?

16/03/16 - 500KM Service

Well Today I had the pleasure of getting my 5000km service done for my LDV G-10 Van I have had for 2 months now.

I did google to see if there were any information online about the costs etc, but could not find anything, so decided to write a Blog about it myself for anyone looking. Hope this will help.

Ok, so 5000km in 2 months

First Service, Booked in for 12pm NSW time, Arrived at Victory Ford/LDV at 12 pm NSW time.
Booked Van in and Asked how much? Told $340

Asked how long as I do not live down there? Told 2 - 1/2 hrs.

Went for a walk, talked to the guy that sold the van to me, checked out about a roof rack, had lunch :)

Then arrived back at Victory Ford/LDV about 13.30pm - Van still Parked and not serviced as yet.

As I was told 2 - 1/2 Hrs thought I would wait, wouldn't be long?

14.30pm I went to see, Van still in same spot?

15.00pm went for another look. Van still in same spot, but some one in it :), moved into garage!! Yes

16.00 pm, went out to see if moved/finished?
Van gone!

Van comes flying in through the back driveway :/ then zoomed into garage!

So i go into the service area, on the way notice Van still Dirty, actually back window Dirtier than when it went in, Oh windscreen wiper had been put on, and the dirt had smeared over the back window/sign.

Any way, Service cost $290, at least better than $340?

So this was to - Change the Oil and Oil Filter, Replaced differential Oil?
Check & top up all fluid levels?
Safety Inspection - Oh and ROAD TEST :)

Oil- Castrol 15w/40 $45.75
Oil Filter - $40.40
Washer Solution - $3.50? - Water?
Copper Washer $7.77 (For the sump plug)

Time - $156.20 - And they say Plumbers are expensive?

I've attached some Photo's for evidence.

Also Asked about Speedo not showing correct Speed - DOing 110km/hr, GPS shows 100km/hr
And Fuel Economy on Display is out about 1L/100km

Was told that 10km difference is ok variance for Australia?

At least I might not get done for speeding?
